VST3 plug-in · Standalone app · Windows

A whole studio rack. One plug-in.

Rackaholic puts 25 modules — equalisers, compressors, saturators, delays, reverbs and pitch tools — into one rack you build yourself. Add what the track needs, put it in the order you want and keep the whole chain in one preset.

Windows, 64-bit

  • 25processing modules
  • 6×instances of each
  • 24bands in the dynamic EQ
  • 1switch for low latency

The rack

Built like hardware. Works like a rack.

Every module is a complete processor with its own face, controls and presets. The rack around them handles the rest: levels in and out, presets for the whole chain, bypass and latency.

Doubler, Glowtec, Satur, Bus Comp, Flanger and Color EQ

Tap a marker to see what it does.

  1. Faders with level meters at both ends of the chain.

  2. Save and recall the whole chain — every module and every setting — as one preset.

  3. Compare the processed and the dry sound in one click, or drop oversampling across the rack while you track.

  4. Power switch, its own preset library and the handle you drag it by to change the order.

  5. Open the module browser and drop a new processor at the end of the chain.

  • Any order

Drag a module by its header, or drag its key in the signal-chain strip.

  • Up to six of each

Two equalisers, three compressors — stack the same module as often as the mix needs.

  • Scales to your screen

    UI size 90, 95, 100, 125 or 150 % — right on the rack's footer.

The rack's footer: the signal chain as keys you can drag, and the UI size buttons.

Modules

25 modules. One chain.

Dynamics, tone, space and pitch — each module with a face of its own and the controls it needs, nothing more.

Dynamics

Compressor

14 compression styles

One compressor, fourteen characters — from transparent control to obvious colour.

  • 14 compression styles
  • Auto threshold, auto release and auto gain
  • Knee, range, lookahead and hold
  • Character section with drive
  • Side-chain EQ
  • Dry mix and oversampling

Full-screen editors

When a module needs room, give it the whole window.

The EQ and Quell sit in the rack like any other module and open into a full-screen editor with one click.

Tone

EQ — 24 bands, any of them dynamic

Place bands directly on the spectrum, set shape, slope and Q, and let any band react to the signal. Three phase modes, A/B and undo built in.

  • Up to 24 bands with bell, shelf and cut shapes
  • Dynamic range and threshold on every band
  • Live spectrum analyser
  • Three phase modes, from zero latency to linear phase
  • A/B comparison, undo and redo
  • Full-screen editor

Tone

Quell — resonance control that listens

Draw where Quell may work with up to eight bands, set how deep it goes and how fast it reacts, then solo a band or hear only what it removes.

  • Soft and hard modes
  • Depth, detail, attack and release
  • A curve of up to 8 bands to shape where it works
  • Listen to a single band, or to what is removed (delta)
  • Mix, output, quality and a low-latency mode
  • Full-screen editor with A/B

Workflow

Made for working fast.

  • Build the chain the track needs

Start with an empty rack and add only what you use. Reorder at any time by dragging — the sound follows the order on screen.

  • Presets at two levels

Every module has its own preset library in its header. The rack saves the whole chain as one preset.

  • Undo and redo

Added the wrong module or lost a setting? Step back through rack edits and changes.

  • Low latency on one switch

One key in the header runs every module that has its own oversampling choice — Compressor, Glowtec, Limiter and Clipper — at its lowest setting. Turn it off and each module gets its own setting back.

  • Bypass All

Hear the whole chain against the dry signal without touching a single module.

  • Plug-in and standalone app

Use Rackaholic as a VST3 inside your DAW or open it as a standalone application.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is Rackaholic?

Rackaholic is a modular channel-strip plug-in. Instead of opening a separate plug-in for every job, you build a rack inside one plug-in: an EQ, a compressor, saturation, a delay, a reverb — whatever the track needs, in the order you choose. The whole chain can be saved and recalled as one preset.

Which modules are included?

25 modules, all included in one licence:

  • Dynamics: Compressor, RK-Stress, FET Limiter, Opto Leveler, Bus Comp, De-esser, Limiter, Clipper
  • Tone: EQ, Quell, Glowtec, Color EQ, Air, Distortion, Satur, Studio Sat
  • Space: Delay, Reverb, Reeverb, Chorus, Doubler, Flanger
  • Pitch: Tune, Pitch
  • Analysis: BPM / Key
Which formats and systems are supported?

Rackaholic is a VST3 plug-in and a standalone application for Windows (64-bit). A macOS version is in development.

Which DAWs does it work with?

Rackaholic is a standard VST3 plug-in and is developed and tested in FL Studio. Other Windows hosts that load VST3 plug-ins should work as well; if something does not work in your DAW, write to us and we will look into it.

How does buying work?

Choose your region in the pricing section and press Buy. Payment is taken on the checkout page of our payment partner: Creem outside the CIS, Lava in the CIS. We never see your card details. Your licence key is issued once the payment platform has received and confirmed the payment. Questions about a payment itself are resolved directly with the payment platform.

How do I get my licence?

When your payment is confirmed, we send your licence key (it looks like RACK-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and a link to the installer to the e-mail address you used at checkout.

How do I activate the plug-in?

Run the installer, open Rackaholic in your DAW or start the standalone app, enter your licence key in the activation window and press Activate. Activation needs an internet connection.

What if installation or activation does not work?
  • Run the installer again, then rescan plug-ins in your DAW. The plug-in is installed as RACKAHOLIC.vst3 in the standard VST3 folder, C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3.
  • If activation reports no connection: check the internet connection and the computer's date and time, and allow your DAW through the firewall or antivirus.
  • Still stuck? Send us a screenshot of the message, your DAW and its version — we will help.
What are the system requirements?
  • Windows, 64-bit
  • A VST3 host, or the included standalone app
  • An internet connection to activate and about once a day while in use (up to 7 days offline)
Are updates included?

Yes: updates within the version you bought are free for licence holders. If an update is ever required to keep the licence service working, the plug-in shows a link to download it.

How do I contact support?
